Bible Academy

In sharing your faith with friends, have you ever felt like you needed to defend the Bible as the Word of God? Have you ever tried to explain to someone why Christianity is different than other religions, or different from what popular culture defines as Christianity?

If you have ever faced some of these frustrations, the Monmouth Christian Church Bible Academy is for you! We will answer questions like...

What makes the Bible different from every other holy book?
What makes Christianity special compared to all other world religions?
What is the difference between the Old and New Testaments?
Why are there so many different churches?
Why do so many Christians have different doctrines?
What are the New Testament teachings that every Christian should know?
Why is missions so important to the Church today?
How do I discover my purpose and ministry?

If you would like the answers to these and other Bible questions, you may want to participate in our Bible Academy. It is a program of disciplined study that requires students to read, think, and wrestle with the difficult biblical issues of our postmodern culture.

The MCC Bible Academy resumes September 2008 in the Retro Room, Heritage Hall.

Sunday mornings, 10:45 am - 12:00 pm ~OR~
Tuesday evenings, 7:00 - 8:30 pm

Initial course offerings are: (F=Fall, W=Winter)

BAGB 100 - Intro to the Bible (F 08)
BAOT 110 - Intro to the Old Testament (F 07)
BANT 120 - Intro to the New Testament (W 08)
BACH 100 - Intro to Church History beginning w/the Book of Acts (W 08)
BATH 100 - Intro to the Theology of the New Testament Church (F 09)
BAME 100 - Intro to Christian Mission and Evangelism (W 10)
BACM 100 - Intro to Christian Ministry (F 10)

Each course is a unit unto itself with no prerequisite classes required. Courses will be offered in the sequence listed above, and while it is not necessary, it is advisable to take each course in the order it is offered.
